Open Sesame!

This is a simple dark-side strategy using direct lay bets against the outside numbers (4, 5, 9, 10) with a Hard Ways hedge. Similar to Laying the Back Wall, this strategy differs in that it avoids laying the inside box numbers (6 and 8) and hedges with the 4 and 10 Hard Ways.

This strategy profits when the shooter rolls a majority of inside numbers (6 and 8) before the point seven-out. The Hard Ways work as a good hedge on the outside numbers, eliminating a losing combo for the 4 and 10. Great for cold or choppy tables!

  1. Make a $40 direct lay against the box numbers 4 and 10.
  2. Make a $30 direct lay against the box numbers 5 and 9.
  3. Make $5 bets on the 4 and 10 Hard Ways.
  4. Collect any Hard Ways winnings.
  5. Do not replace any losing bets. Ride it out until point seven-out and collect your winnings!

3 Roll Wait

There are times when you know it’s a cold table and you want to make don’t come bets. You do so, but the shooter always seems to throw an early seven. You lose the first DC or a push results on your second DC. When that happens I start to bet the following way.

I wait three rolls before making any DC bets. This gets you past the early seven. Just make two DC bets.

If your first DC is a 4 or 10, lay odds and don’t make any more bets.
